The Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz makes every endeavour to ensure the accessibility of the websites of the domain “uni-mainz.de”. The legal basis for this is provided by the State Act on Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities (LGGBehM) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance Rhineland-Palatinate (BITV RP).

The websites of the domain “uni-mainz.de” are currently designed to be accessible from a technical point of view. As part of the university-wide website relaunch, an adaptation of the framework layout and barrier-free access is planned. A prior change to the design of the website constitutes a disproportionate burden on the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz pursuant to section 7, paragraph 3 LGGBehM, so that these are insofar exempt from the obligation of barrier-free access within the meaning of § 7 para. 1 LGGBehM.
