Topic of the Dissertation:
This research project examines media representations of climate-related disasters in Pakistan between 2000-2022 to understand how they reinforce or challenge traditional gender norms, roles, and stereotypes, while also investigating their impact on public perceptions of women's roles and capabilities in climate change action and disaster management, aiming to promote gender equality and more inclusive climate action.

  • Utilized innovative teaching techniques to enhance critical thinking skills in undergraduate courses on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, Gender and Development, and Sustainability.
  • Taught over 80 undergraduate students in multiple sections, providing timely feedback on assignments and facilitating class discussions to create a supportive learning environment resulting in a 95% student satisfaction rate.
  • Collaborated with undergraduate students to develop research proposals for grant competitions such as the Higher Education Commission Pakistan and internal competitions, providing guidance on project design, methodology, and writing.

  • Facilitated coordination and collaboration among diverse stakeholders from these countries, resulting in the successful execution of multiple community-led projects focused on climate change and ecological issues, showcasing effective communication and collaboration skills.
