In my dissertation, I aim to identify the key factors influencing sustainable behavior and explore strategies to encourage climate-friendly decisions. Specifically, I will investigate the impact of future thinking, i.e., envisioning oneself in climate-change-related future scenarios, and psychological benchmarks known as reference points on decision-making in environmental contexts.
